Speech Sound Disorders
Are you or your child Feeling Frustrated because they have difficulty saying certain sounds? We used research-based approaches to help your child speak clearly so they can be Confident, Happy Talkers.
AAC Support at Home & in the Community
Does your child have a Speech-Ipad or Speech Generating Device that they don’t really use at home? We help families and their children learn to use the language on their devices together in pressure-free fun ways to help their child’s language grow.
Phonological Processes
Does your child use patterns when talking that make their speech difficult to understand, such as saying “tat” for cat, “doe”/go, “fee” for tree, “wyder”/Ryder, “tar”/star….? We can help them learn the differences between these sounds so they can say the words they really mean.
Language Delay
If your child is not yet talking or is using very few words compared to their peers, we use fun & play-based approaches to help their language grow so they can share what they’re thinking and feeling.
Echolalia/Repeating Words, Lines from Shows, Songs…
Does your child communicate by repeating words or scripts from shows or songs? We honor & support their communication while helping them build on their strengths to grow their expressive language & share their thoughts and feelings.

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I have been working as a Speech Language Pathologist for 10 years with amazing children of all ages and abilities in public and special services schools throughout New Jersey, as well as early intervention, homes and private practice.
I believe in the importance of making connections with children while supporting their speech sound development and language goals, and also practice Play-Based Child-Led, and Neurodiversity-Affirming therapy. I am excited to offer speech therapy services to support our young and school-aged communicators!
Southern Ocean Speech Therapy is a mobile speech therapy practice happy to offer services to clients in Manahawkin, Stafford, LBI, Barnegat, Waretown, Forked River, Lacey, Toms River and Little Egg Harbor.

Step One

Step Two
During our first session we will review your child’s IEP, goals, communication device if they have one, and communication needs to get started with their treatment plan.
Step Three
We will begin our speech and language therapy sessions in the location of your choice and work as a team to support your child’s communication journey!
Payment Info
We are currently Private-Pay Only and accept Cash, Checks, and Credit Cards. Payment is due at the time of service. We are currently not in-network with any insurance plans. Southern Ocean Speech Therapy will provide a Superbill upon request which families may then submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement.
